I have been looking online at Men’s wedding bands. I’m interested in something Made of Tungsten, but with platinum included.
It appears online that there are several choices available, but every jewelry store (I’ve visited more than 10 now) tell me that the metals don’t work well together and thus are not used together in jewelry.
Anyone have any clear answers and a good source?

…at the bottom of the bands, and have the diamond prawns redone (added to or whatever)? It’s a princess cut wedding band set (1 diamond ring and 2 anniversary bands.) What’s the average? I’m in Houston Texas if that matters. Zales wants like $180, does that seem high???

Will it stand up to years of wear like platinum?
or should i choose palladium or titanium?

I kept losing my other wedding rings when I took them off or ‘destroying’ them beyond use when I didn’t. The tungsten ring is pratically indestructible. Which brings to mind a question. What happens if I injure my hand and it swells. Can they cut the darn thing off, or will they have to remove my finger? Has anybody had any experience with this?
Baby boomer rock fan: I do welding, cutting, grinding, etc.
I don’t wear any jewelry but my wedding band it is very smooth and rounded without any edges to catch (knock on wood). I don’t want to take it off for fear of losing it like I did three before it.

While cleaning out my grams apartment, I found a ring, that was hidden in a jewelry box in paper.(She was put into a nursing home, and I’m supposed to get all her old jewelry) I was given the box no one knowing what was in it. It looked similar to this: http://www.jewelryexpert.com/catalog/graphics/Antique-Diamond-Ring-5.gif
The metal on it though was tarnished severly. The picture is almost an exact match. The only thing is the band was almost black in color and tarnished. Can white gold tarnish that bad if it is not taken care of for years? (All her other wedding bands are white gold…with the exception of one that is yellow gold). The actual band was in excellent shape, it was just black…has anyone seen sever tarnishing in a ring probalby bought in the 30’s and never really taken care of? (No one really knows exactly how long it was in the jewelry box to begin with).

I have an antique wedding band with the following makers mark: “B. O&D. Co. 18K” and the ring is inscribed “Wally - Ella Dec 12 - 1906″. I know that these people are my Great-grandparents and that they were probably married in Texas, and lived in Temple Texas. I am trying to find out about any info about the ring or the maker of the ring. Thanks!!

i dont want to buy on ebay, and i looked at overstock.com and some other places but they were like $30+ and i dont want to spend that much, but I would like it to be decent quality and not turn green. thank you.

We are shopping for wedding rings and although we’ve been told that Tungsten is SUPER strong and is good for a man who works with his hands, on the OTHER hand, if there’s ever an accident and his finger swells up, an emergency room won’t be able to cut it off b/c it’s the 2nd hardest mineral next to diamonds. ??? HELP!
