I am having an x-ray and ultrasound on my ring finger later today (doctor thinks it is either fractured or I have torn tendons) - would I need to remove my wedding ring?
I ask because I have iced the finger for an hour and the 2nd knuckle is still almost twice as round as my ring - I have no chance.
Someone told me I have to remove jewellery for x-rays and I am worried they may need to cut my ring off!
It is my WEDDING RING and I really don’t want to have it cut off.
If it does have to be removed, does anyone have any ideas about how to try to help a ring slide over a swollen knuckle? Other than ice and dishwashing liquid which I’ve tried!
