I have a Tungsten wedding band I got from Kay Jewelers, I was under the impression when we purchased it had lifetime resizing. Bring in the old ring and swap it out for one that fits my finger due to cold and heat. Well of course we go back to the store, and we were not honored with this. We could however purchase another ring in a different size. I plan on calling corporate headquarters. But anyone else had any similar situations?

I think its probably true for any other ring, but since tungsten is such an incredibly hard metal to cut, its damn near impossible to re-size
i don’t think tungsten can be re-sized as easily as gold/silver. i know i was thinking about getting my husband a tungsten band, but since it couldn’t be re-sized easily we just went with white gold.
My husband has a tungsten wedding band but it is his back up. Because we knew it is hard to resize its the one he wears until he can’t any more.
Then he has his more expensive one he is saving for when he is more responsible
My husband and I had a similar situation happen to us. We bought a tungsten band at our local jewelers and since they did not have my husband’s size in a tungsten ring he had to get it ordered. Well, when we got it 3 weeks before our wedding (we were supposed to get it 2 months before the wedding but it got back-ordered) the ring was way to big for him even though it was the size that fit him when they figured out his ring size!! Well, needless to say we couldn’t get the problem fixed in time for the wedding so we had to use that ring for the wedding. We thought that we got one free ring resizing a year for a tungsten band through the company that made it, but of course not. Since we had to order the ring in the first place that was our free ring resizing which we thought was bs. So we had to send out his ring in the mail to the company that made it with a $25 money order to get a different size. We got the ring and it fits great, but we still think its dumb that we had to spend another $25 on his ring.. lame.
Truth: You can NOT re size tungsten.
BUT if you purchased a lifetime warranty when you purchased the band, then they HAVE to let you trade whenever you want to. But if you did not purchase the warranty (at extra cost of course) then you can do nothing about it but buy a new band or deal with the fact that it doesn’t fit. Talking to headquarters won’t do anything for you if you didn’t purchase the warranty.
