I have 2 rings I truly love. One is my wedding ring from Morocco and the other is an antique ring I had repaired and brough back to life that once belonged to my great-great-great grandmother.
YakHaircrazy: It really is. Jewelers in the US said it wasn’t worth repairing because it was so worn and the prongs were so badly damaged. A jeweler in Morocco did major work on it for an amazing price and I wear it every day. I am so glad I followed my heart and kept it all these years.

Well I found this tungsten carbide ring earlier today that I really like. However, it is a wedding band, and I’m only 15! If I wear it, will people notice or say anything?

I’m a very plain and simple gal….my engagement ring and a watch are all I wear and have worn in my life!! My mom gave me an antique pearl necklace, but to me, it doesn’t look like “me” when I put it on. It’s odd to see necklaces, earrings, bracelets, etc. on me….so….would it be TOO plain to not wear any jewelry on my wedding day?

Hi me and my boyfriend talk about getting engaged all the time. We have a daughter we’ve been together 3 years and we love each other..
Our biggest problem is money.. it wouldn’t be for the next 6 months or so but I know he wants to ask me.. He has been telling me we should look at rings but I know we are not financially stable right now to buy a ring let alone THINK of a wedding.. But Ive been cracking down and with Our tax return and budgeting I think We’ll be back on track within the next few months.. and he’ll be able to save up.

But I know he is not willing to (nor should he) pay more than $1400 to $1500 for the set. Preferably for all 3 rings, but that must at least cover the engagement ring and wedding band for me.

And since he is the kind of guy who wouldn’t know a good piece of Jewelry from a $25 cent machine it is up to me to tell him what kind I like.. and I LOVE the antique style rings..

But cant find anything I like less than $2,000. Im not worried about the Carat size I just want the style and white gold..

My daughter is one and a half.. We will be married before she’ll ever have to wonder why her mommy and daddy aren’t married (or should I say divorced) like everyone elses. I know we won’t ever be able to afford a huge wedding but I still want a wedding. And a nice ring. My daughter will be taken care of I don’t expect to struggle forever and her grandparents have already started a college fund. so just cuz I had a child out of wedlock and young doesn’t mean she’s not my main concern, I just don’t feel I should put all my dreams aside because its what u think is best. I know you weren’t trying to be rude (or maybe u were..I dunno) but im a little offended

We are getting married this year and my fiance would like to have a ring that will not scratch or ding easily. He has mechanic hands and would be very very hard on jewelry. So I need to know which of the two is stronger and a better buy for his wedding band?

We just bought my husband a tungsten wedding band because we heard that they are basically indestructible and he is pretty rough on jewelry. The thing is, he does maintenance on pools and works with all the chemicals involved with that. He is afraid that the chlorine he is constantly touching will eat away at the metal. Will it? I don’t think it will but we both figure better to be safe than sorry. We just need to know whether or not he will be able to wear his ring while he works or if he will have to take it off.
